What a year 2016 has been, right? I think many of us have swung from extraordinary to excruciating and everywhere in between.
As I reflect back on my year, what stands out the most is having lived outside of my comfort zone. I have stretched personally, professionally and spiritually and it most certainly has been uncomfortable to say the least; however, I have come to accept that being uncomfortable and uncertain is where we GLOW. In this allowing we grant permission to ourselves to Grow, to Love and be loved, to be Open and Willing creating many more unseen possibilities in our lives and in the lives of others.
As many of you know, I’ve been talking about how our conditioning to be comfortable only derails us from living the life we dream of. I believe that seeking comfort distracts us from being connected to ourselves and to the world at large.
Have you ever noticed when you are bobbing along in the status quo, you find yourself bored, or wanting more out of life? Our conditioning to find comfort is a myth and illusion. Included in this illusion, we make up that we have time. Truth be told, we don’t. The only time we have is NOW. My dream for you is to be in recognition of this truth so that you create a sense of urgency in your life. It’s your time NOW!
So, what do you want to do with your life? How do you want to contribute to the world? How can you raise your vibration to match what you say you want in your life? If you were to live like there was no tomorrow, what would you do with your time, how would you communicate with others?
My friends, the secret sauce in life is in the not knowing, being in discovery, learning and growing. It’s in taking inspired action and risks and it’s in making possible what you think is impossible.
As we wrap up 2016, I invite you to focus on what makes you GLOW as you head into 2017. Here are some questions that may support you in how you choose to live your life moving forward.
1. What inspires you?
2. What would you do in life if you didn’t need to work for money?
3. Do you listen to your thoughts more often, or your heart more often?
4. What kind of impact do you want to make in your relationships, in your community, in our country and the world at large?
5. What are you grateful for?
6. When was the last time you took a risk?
7. What have you been putting off doing or being?
8. What is your biggest dream?
9. Where do you see for yourself by this time next year?
It is my hope that you create the time to answer these questions so that you can focus on what you want for yourself and for the people you touch in the coming year.
I look forward to continuing our work together, in community, as we Glow Up collectively to light up the world with LOVE!!
