I think of you often and how I can best serve you as you navigate this incredible journey called life. Most of you know how much I value Growing, Loving, Opening and Willing = GLOW, as a pathway to liberation. I am committed to personal and professional growth myself, so that I can learn, grow and glow, as I ask the same of you.
At Get Your Glow On, we focus on the most important relationship you will ever have in your life, the relationship you have with yourself. Honoring the relationship you have with yourself and practicing the tools that GLOW offers, enhances all of your relationships. The intention of this work is to build your muscle with new practices and habits so you can elevate yourself to what I call AL = Authentic Leadership. AL profoundly impacts your personal and professional lives.
It takes practice and hunger to be the very best version of you on a daily basis. Consistent PRACTICE is key to sustaining your learning, as you put new practices into place. If you think about effective leaders and elite athletes, they get to that level by embracing the disciplines needed in their daily practices so they can measurably grow in all areas of their lives.
An example is Steph Curry of the Warriors. He is one of the best basketball players in the world, and yet he continues to practice drills day in and day out. He holds records, and then he breaks the records he holds. He is the first to show up at practice and the last to leave. He has a hunger to get better and better at his game.
Another element of his success is the people that he chooses to surround himself with. He has a posse that believes in him, encourages him and supports him in staying humble as he continues to thrive and get better and better with every season.
Imagine if you allowed your HUNGER for a better life to drive the choices you make on a daily basis. Hunger and practices are NOT determined by how you ‘FEEL’ from day to day, or moment to moment. Allowing your feelings to determine your choices creates the insidious permission you give yourself to step onto that slippery slope of sabotage.
How many times have you woken up and said to yourself, “I’m not in the mood today.” “I’m taking a break, I’ve been so good, I deserve a little time off.” This is a slippery slope that can have you slide right back into those old habits and practices that sabotage your WHY and your HUNGER for more in your life.
Our minds / thoughts have a powerful way to deter us from what we want, and what we say is important to us.
If you’d like to read a short story referencing my life when I was stuck, and the steps I took to climb out of old habits and practices, click on this link to my free e-book. I hope you enjoy!!
